Comments, Please?

I (think) I now want to turn on comments! A few months ago I was trying to decide if I should do this or not. What changed my mind? Emails from readers suggesting mine is not a Blog if it doesn't allow comments.

What does ProBlogger say about that? I have tried to turn comments back on. I checked all the right boxes but according to the terrific Blogger Help boards, since I have customized my template, I will need to scrap my changes and start over. Ugh! Could you possibly just continue to email me direclty with your comments? Does this all mean I am not a Pro Blogger? Am I only ***Sniff*** an Amateur?

You ARE a "PRO" for sure! I think the comments are a fabulous idea so you can really get the gist of what most folks think about your outstanding work and creative ideas. There will be a few jerks but that is to be expected! SHM

Hey! I think this is (sort of) working!

I enjoy email bloggers directly, however, I also like the opportunity to leave comments. And I know many bloggers--especially with thousands of reader--appreciate this social media approach to life in the blogosphere. And so do readers--especially when comments stimulate further dialog. For example, I can say: Hey Readers of Jain's blog, do you like to have the opportunity to leave comments? (Who knows someone might respond--via comments.)

Hey, Jain -- comments work if you click on the headline for each post. You should know this - you are a technological genius. You are cute, too. And AMAZING. Okay, that's enough for one day.

JAIN: I have been reading your blog since you started. (Every Day) You have become a part of my daily routine and I look forward to reading anything you have to say. I have learned SO MUCH from your expertise and the way you express it. Thanks very much for continuing to post. I know it gets difficult to keep up!
I am just another PHOTOG who needs guidance, plenty of direction and HELP!! I am embarrassed to say I have been a shooter for over ten years professionally. P E A C E
